Al-Qalam is pleased to invite students from high schools in Scotland to gain practical experience on Business Management, Computing Science, Graphics Communication and Media Studies.
Students will get hands-on experience in Corporate Structure, Business Management, Computing, Graphics and Media Technology used in industry of their choice. Hackathon week is intended to take them through various experiences around the subjects they study and give them confidence in their understanding of the subject units in Nat5, Higher and Advanced Higher. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get a corporate insight on various subjects being taught by their teachers. There are prizes to be won including bursaries and attending a Developers Conference in Edinburgh. Registration closes 14th January 2018. Limited Spaces. |

Autonomous Schools Framework (ASF)Qalam Academy is pleased to lead the effort on providing a sustainable and effective framework for Autonomous Schools in Scotland.
It's ecoLearn methodology allows enhancement to CfE by incorporating new experiences and outcomes and providing a flexible approach towards delivering O's and E's. ILE will be a collaborative environment for all autonomous schools to share good practices. ILE can also be extended to independent and state schools who can contribute towards improving the delivery of primary and secondary education. Autonomous Schools Framework (ASF) will use Quality Indicator Grid (QUIG) which is a draft Quality Improvement concept that collates GIRFEC, HGIOS, SIP and other best practices indicators facilitating a benchmark for schools to maintain high standards and attainment.
